NOT A LOT

The world seems to be holding its breath, the news has crawled to a trickle and the country is in sleep mode.

The BBC’s top story is the disappearance of the Air France plane “somewhere” in the Atlantic

The best the Telegraph can come up with is that Tetris is 25 years old, and the expenses scandal of course.

The Times Online seems to have moved the MP thing to Euro MPs, here we go again.

The Daily Wail, sorry Mail is concentrating on SuBo and BGT, telling us that Ofcom are investigating the treatment of the said SuBo.

The Independent has decided we need a general election, about a week too late.

The Mirror tells us that Peter Andre is depressed: who cares.

And the Sun is hedging its bets by having a “revolving” headline covering all the above, plus Britain’s most wanted which strangely enough doesn’t have one single photo of a politician.

What has happened to Journalism? Where are the interesting articles? Are there any reporters out there in the country hunting for news, or are they all sitting behind their desks waiting for it to fall out of the sky and onto their desks, preferably on CD of course?

So that really is what is going on-not a lot!

People have this illusion that all over the world, all of the time, all kinds of fantastic things are happening. When in fact, over most of the world nothing is happening.” –David Brinkley

We both read all the papers online it seems!

The disappearance of the Air France 'somewhere' in the Atlantic is a bad and tragic accident, and owing to the fact that it seems nobody was able to get to a life raft or to be seen floating makes the situation worse. I await the release of an American film about this tragedy available on general release early in 2010.

As to tetris being a quarter of a century old, who the hell cares? Mind you, the expenses scandal always makes for interesting reading! More for the "sorry, I made a mistake" or "this should not have been claimed so I'll repay it" all from those who have been caught out who think that an apology will make everything better.

Euro MP's seem to be no different from the other party MP's - however the UKIP seem to be the only party prepared to allow this Country to vote as to whether we wish to stay in it as a member state.

SuBo has a name and I hate the Americanisation of Susan Boyle's name that some tabloids are now using. However, her demise and downfall as reported in the national press does indeed need investigating.

We need an election as reports the Independant? Far too late to think that this news is in any way 'new' and their article will generate more revenue from the public actually buying their paper.

Peter Andre is depressed? Do I care? He wanted a quickie divorce and he's got his wish. He's depressed? He's got what he wanted and his depression I could not care less about.

The sun is supposedly good for females tits and I am NOT into females tits so don't even read their comic online.

(surprised you have not mentioned the Star or Pravda or more importantly The Times or even Private Eye)
