You have to go to control panel, folder options, select "use classic folders", then go to "view" in the folder tool bar and select sort by-"content created", which magically appears, then ascending.
Now I might go and investigate that option on laptop. I so hate vista and wish I had gone for XP. As soon as the new version comes out I will be upgrading the operating systme on my lap top!

Ah, that's how it's done. I just press a button. Nothing happens of course but it makes me feel productive.
They do like to make it hard, with XP it did it automatically:)

But I well be keeping XP on my desk top ;-)
I have the beta of windows seven on a spare laptop and you need a very new laptop to run it otherwise some of the functions are unavailable.
Personally it is too much like Vista for me.
i still have XP on my desktop too, and won't be upgrading:)
