Some good news, and some bad news

The good news is that the radiator is finally on the car, it limits visibility a bit but I get twice the amount of cooling.

The bad news is that the water pressure in the house is so low that it won't fire up the boiler and it it won't allow the shower to work.

So I have a nice trickle of cold water and no hot water at all.

Oh to be in England when the French own your water.

All right, you've taken me in, you've got me thinking this is for real.

I'm sorry to hear you still have problems with water (house, not bladder) what's going to happen about all this because its no joke is it?

Incidentally, I have lotsa pocketses in my overalls for spanners and plumbing wrenches.......

Not much I can do DD, the pressure is too low to trip the pressure switches in the boiler and the shower.

I refuse to phone the Water Company, I have tried that before and spent hours on the phone, which costs a fortune, and the explanation you get is "you have low pressure on your main", very helpful.

There has probably been a burst and they have made a temp repair, with low pressure, and hopefully will make a proper job of it now that it isn't the weekend.

I live in hope, well actually i live in 'Ampshire but you know what I mean.

You might be right about temp repairs. That happened to me so I trotted out and turned the stop cock up a bit. Everything was fine for a week but at some stage the water pressure reverted back to normal and when I switched on the tap I became one of the wet teeshirt brigade, complete with an unexpected face and hair wash.

Have you checked with your neighbours that they have the same problem? Let them report it because it will save your frustration and phone bill!

Get it sorted Angus. You are downwind of me and I can smell you from here :(
